1818 was the year the Billecart-Salmon House was born, with the joining in matrimony of Nicolas Francois Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon. Today Francois and Antoine Roland-Billecart are at the helm of the house. Their father, Jean Roland-Billecart continues to watch over the family business alongside them. The family's independence has helped them to maintain a sense of continuity in the concoction of their champagnes; their watchwards being finesse, balance and elegance.
